Take a look around at people dining out or having the odd casual coffee. Now note how many of those persons actually maintain eye contact, not distracted by their mobile phone, tablet or smart watch. Sadly, not that many I am afraid.
On a medical note, a recent study conducted in persons aged between 18-25 has shown that excessive screen time causes thinning of the cerebral cortex, the brain's outermost layer responsible for processing memory and cognitive functions, such as decision-making and problem solving.
Bring back the days of intimate, unrivaled, special moments where friends and family can spend quality time!
